Moonlight Ski and Snowshoe at Wilton Wildlife Preserve & Park
March 03, 2012
Moonlight Ski and Snowshoe Postponed at Wilton Wildlife Preserve & Park POSTPONED AGAIN! Wilton Wildlife Preserve & Park’s Moonlight Ski and Snowshoe is now scheduled for Saturday, March 3rd With the unusual winter we are having and lack of any appreciable snowfall, the trails have become too icy and hazardous to hold the event on the 4th. Hopefully the weather will cooperate and the popular and highly anticipated Moonlight Ski and Snowshoe will take place on Saturday, March 3rd, 2012! Join us at Camp Saratoga for a nighttime ski or snowshoe under a full moon and 2.5 miles of candlelit trails. We will be starting earlier this year at 6:00 to give families with younger children a chance to come out and enjoy the magic of the Preserve & Park on a moonlit night. As always, we will have a limited amount of snowshoes available for rental. Snowshoes will be available for rental beginning at 5:30 in the International Paper Winter Lodge. The Winer Lodge will also be set up with an information table, a warming fire, a bake sale and free hot chocolate. There will be donation jars available in the Winter Lodge if you would like to contribute to the continuation of programs like the Moonlight Ski and Snowshoe. The other free hot chocolate sites will be found at the inner and outer bonfires. This year we are proud to have Wilton Rotary as a sponsor for the Moonlight Ski and Snowshoe. If you would like to help volunteer to make this event another resounding succees or if your business would like to be a sponsor, please get in touch via email: mbolson @ wiltonpreserve.org.
